U.S. based Guyanese in Washington, D.C. celebrate Guyana’s 60th Independence Anniversary
Almost a month after Guyana celebrated its Diamond Jubilee on May 26th, U.S. based Guyanese were still reflecting on on the milestone with various independence celebrations in several diaspora enclaves. From a reception hosted by the Embassy of Guyana in Washington, DC, featuring remarks by Foreign Minister Hugh Todd, to community celebrations that highlight the enduring pride in Guyanese heritage.
